What is the cost of a home inspection?

The cost of an inspection may vary depending on the age, type and dimension of ​​the property. Please refer to the Contact tab for an estimate.

What does Les Inspection PM report contain?

The property is thoroughly and meticulously inspected and the report covers the sections recommended by the Standard of practice: structure, exterior, roof, plumbing, electricity, heating and/or air conditioning systems, insulation, ventilation and personal safety. The report typically includes dozens of photos and recommendations.

Building inspectors can make general recommendations but they are not specialists. Their job is to look for indications, symptoms of potential problems, report them to you and refer you to a specialist.

When can I get an appointment for an inspection?

In general we can offer you an appointment within 48 hours of your request.

When can an inspection be performed?

As we perform a visual inspection, it is important that it be done when there is sufficient daylight. It is therefore strongly recommended that our visit be done in the morning or early afternoon. It is possible to make an inspection later in the day, depending on the season, as long as the lighting conditions remain satisfactory.

Is my presence required during the inspection?

Your presence or that of your representative is necessary to sign the contract before starting the inspection and, once completed, to sign the certificate of performance and pay the fees. Even though you dont have to follow the inspector throughout the inspection, it will be easer for him to answer your questions more precisely.

How long does an inspection take?

In general, the inspection will last between two and three hours, depending on the size and condition of the property. For obvious reasons, the inspection of a co-onwership property (condominium) is usually quicker.

When can I expect the inspection report?

The final report will be emailed to you within 48 hours of the inspection.

Why have my property inspected before I put it for sale?

An inspection of your property before putting it on the market will give you a good indication of its condition. This avoids unpleasant surprises, gives you the choice to repair certain problems before selling your property. You can also better establish a fair price and limit counter offers.
